Spring Art

We've reached the tipping point. Abbey has now been home with me longer than the first eighteen months of her life that she spent in China. The incredible blessing of have her in my life just grows with every passing day.

Birthday Brunch

Due to family schedules we combined four April birthdays and had a brunch (the only open time slot we were all available). Abbey requested a "chocolate milk" birthday cake and picked out at great one. Up until recently she had never had chocolate, but between the M & M's for potty training a pretend chocolate milk cartoon she plays with at daycare she's figured it out, and let me tell you it ranks high in her preferences. She was also introduced to bacon at the brunch and it went over very well.
This was the year for games. She got Chutes and Ladders, Candyland, a Ladybug Game, Fairytale Memory, etc. Our first game a few months ago was Hi Ho Cherry-o and she loved it so much that we decided to go for more. She is really enjoying them.
3 years old, what a wonderful time. I thought it couldn't get any better than 2, but some how it is. I am just SO thankful every day for my daughter.

Still Savoring

So much has happened in the past three weeks, but I am still savoring our special moments at Disneyland. Abbey is still talking about Dumbo, the Teacups, and the Hip Hip Hooray on a daily basis. I am sure we will have more trips to Disney in the future, but this set of sweet memories will never be forgotten.
Snow White made a huge impression on Abbey. We ran into her at California Adventure and Abbey was completely taken with her. She's never seen any Disney or princess movies but it was love at first sight. Now Batman (whom she has also never seen in a cartoon or movies) are both huge in her mind. She let me know the other day that she wants to be Batman for Halloween next year. And she really likes Snow White's white collar on her dress, so I see one of those in our near future too.
