Thanks for sharing this information Christi! I think perhaps I should look into EI in our area ( if we have anything like that) Maddy is trying to say lots of new words but when she puts them together.. they all come out the same. I think she could benefit from some speech therapy as well. Again.. thanks for posting this.!!

I can't say enough fantastic things about Early Intervention! I don't know what I would've done WITHOUT THEM! Ruby simply thrived while working with her EI therapist, Lisa. We're still friendly with her to this day! (She's a Mommy herself now!) I know in my heart that Ruby's incredible explosion into language would not have happened as fast or as proficiently as it had, without Lisa's help. We're very grateful for our local EI team.
Highly recommend to ALL waiting parents to look into their EI team as well. You'll never regret it, ever!

Great to see a video of her speech therapist helping her learn to say things correctly. She catches on very quickly. She is doing great!

    Christi:

I am so glad that you have been able to access services for Abbey and that you have found them beneficial. Great news!

I'm blessed to actually get to do this for a living (insert excited squeeeal). :~) I have been working as a speech/language pathologist with 0-6 year olds for 13 years (22 years total in the profession).

Such fun to get to earn money doing something you love!

Keep up the good work, Mommy and Abbey!

So cute. In Tennessee, Glenys didn't qualify for any early intervention. I think it would have been beneficial even just for my own understanding but she didn't. Abby is really a doll.
