Sadness
When I went back to work last January after getting Abbey it was hard. When I went back to work after being with her this summer it was harder. Going back today is the hardest of all. I'd give anything to have a year at home with her.
Wow! You had a long break. They cut ours a little short, but we get a whole week off in the spring. I can totally understand how you are feeling. The strange thing is, I wasn't expecting it this time. I just thought it would be like a long weekend. We had the nicest week and a half and I wanted more, more, more! It was so hard going back last week and the only way I could describe it was, "sad". The first day back to work I got out the calendar and announced that we only had 11 weeks until spring break. I am living for the breaks. I am still not completely productive at work, but it is getting better. We are half way through the year! Hope your week goes well!
I hope that one day you get to take a year off. It is truly wonderful that I have the opportunity to take the school year off to be home with my girls. As a single mama, it is nothing short of a miracle, thanks mom!
Christi, I feel your pain. I too feel the sadness every time our breaks are over. Today was our first day after two weeks. My nine year old daughter cries every night before we go back after holidays. We are lucky that she goes to the school that I teach at. So I do see her but I feel sad even after this long each time we go back to school. I love my teaching job but given a choice I would stay home in a heartbeat. Take care and hang in there. I'm with you! I always say that I am ready to get my kids back on their schedules and out of my house, but I always feel sad going back. It was such a happy feeling picking them up at school today. After spending all day together, that 7 hours seems so long to be apart. Hang in there, we have a Monday off in a couple of weeks and Spring Break will be here before you know it. Michelle
I'm sad for you that you are finding this so difficult today. I wish there were some way you could take that year off (but then you might want a second one...)
{{{{HUGS}}}} my friend. You and your sweet daughter are in our thoughts and prayers.
Although you may see it as one of the hardest days we are so happy that you and Abbey have each other to come home to and spend the rest of your fairy tale lives together.
God has seen to that! Sparkly Wishes and many more to come.
It is so interesting...for some reason, going back to work/school after this last winter break was very sad for me. I love my job, Emma and I had such a wonderful time during the break. It made it difficult to go back.
It just reinforces the idea that you need to cherish every moment you have with your child because there are never enough of them!
I am sure that Abbey has felt your sadness also. You can tell from the posts that everyone feels your pain since it seems like a lot of them are in the same situation. I am there with Teri from Iowa that we should pray about this for you! We will start this Tuesday in the prayer group it that is OK with you. Lots of Love and Prayers!

Christy:
The Bible says, "You do not have, because you do not ask". It cannot be wrong of us to ask for this in prayer. So, we will. We do.
Now we shall see what the Lord will do. Is *anything* too hard for Him?
Let us know what happens...
