One Year Ago Today...
On October 31, 2006 all my hopes and dreams were packed into my heart as I boarded the plane to China. My baby was waiting for me and the door was opening into the greatest joys of my life. I will never forget the awe-filled days of the trip that took me across the world and gave me my greatest treasure, Abbey Zhuozhuo.

And one year ago today, we were anxiously checking your blog waiting to see you two together at last! God is so good. He has given a mommy her baby and His child her mommy.

Oh how well I remember one year ago today (truthfully, I was a little jealous you and your brother were flying out a day earlier than us! Isn't that silly?)
It has been one amazing year -- isn't it wonderful?
By the way...in one of Katie's referral pictures she's wearing the orange striped dinosaur outfit that Abbey's wearing in this picture...another bit of "glue" that will hold our precious daughters (and we Moms) together forever!

I knew the anniversary was coming up! It is really hard to believe that it is actually one year! Both of you, especially Abbey, have changed so much in the last year--both stretching and changing more that you thought would be possible. Praise God for His perfect timing and grace and giving you patience to wait to get the daughter of His dreams for you!

We were so happy to finally meet you in person.
The next few days were so grand. I don't think we will ever be able to top our China trip, after all it's the trip that gave us our little bundles of joy.

Congratulations on your one year anniversary. My wife and I are the proud parents of 2 girls from China, Hannah is now a wonderful 6 year old, and Kimberly, who is the other child in the picture with your beautiful daughter. We became a family with Kimberly on January 11th, 07.
