My Girl

This is Abbey getting ready to attend a birthday party for the first time. It was at Chuck E Cheese's and she loved it. She loved the pizza, loved the mouse, loved everyone singing "If you are happy and you know it...", loved the tokens, and most of all loved riding on a minature carousel (about 20 times). It was so strange seeing her ride around on that pony and remembering back to where she was in November. I had just been looking at the photo's the orphanage took of her with the digital camera I sent in her care package. Her whole world has been turned right side up. She loves her little meals, her baths, her toys, and best of all being kissed and told that she is loved a hundred times a day.

Chuck E. Cheese drives me mad, but the kids love it, don't they? Cute photo of Dr. Abbey too!

Could her smile be any cuter?

Thank you so much for all the photo posts, so we get our Abbey fix every day before school.
And where did you get that darling outfit? An aunt, no doubt. I agree with eggrolls and chopsticks "fashionista" label.
    Xin Nian Kuai Le!
    (Happy New Year!)

Add another Mom Badge for surviving Chuck E Cheeses! Add two!

The first time I ever went there was for my niece's 4th birthday. It was the one in the Valley and it was enough to make me swear off having children. I told Rick that we were going to tell our children that Chuck died. Now we go there often enough and never did follow through with the plan.

She's so cute and happy it just nakes me smile knowing the roads you were both on and how they have come together by God's working.

Christi-Even when you are older there is nothing better that being told more than 100 times a day that you are love & being showered with hugs & kisses. You never outgrow the need for love & affection to be affirmed to you with words & actions! This will so have Abbey leave the orphanage in the far distant past. I am sure that you will probably never forget it--but with all the love & affection she is getting from you & practically everyone else who meets the little sweetheart they will become a vague memory stored away in the recesses of her brain. She is going to be some kid! You are such a lucky Mama that you stood on the promises of God & believed Abbey was the ONE and ONLY ONE for you! She is one lucky & blessed daughter & you are only blessed Mama for having the courage you did to persist despite how it looked! Thank you Lord for Christi having open ears & an open heart!

She is a doll. Our Spicy Girl discovered Chuck E. Cheese shortly after coming home from China. She didn't get too in to it, but she did ride the carousal a few times.
