Princess and the Pea

How could one tiny stone cause so much trouble? Yea! It's gone now! The surgery went amazingly well. Everyone was so nice at the hospital. Everytime I meet great nurses I just want them to know how incredibly much it means that they are kind. I have the highest admiration and respect for them. Other than lots of throwing up it's been great. I am definitely on the mend and hoping to use this rest time to get mentally organized and make some to do lists so that I can be more strategic in preparing for the trip.
We leave in 20 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And for those of you concerned that I bought all that "stuff" for Abbey I have to say it was not me. That would be all my friends, and I am thrilled to have gifts from so many special people.
Okay, I did buy a little bit of it, but only a fraction.

I'm glad to hear your surgery went well! I've recently found your blog a couple weeks ago and I have really enjoyed reading about your journey. It is so wonderful to see someone who thanks their nurses. I am a nurse and it really makes my day when people tell me "thank you". I deal with sick and grumpy people all day, which is expected and many have a lot of reasons to be grumpy, but it feels so nice to get thanked for it! So thank you for being what sounded like an awesome patient!

Oh, that's great about the surgery(except for the throwing up part) I have had three surgeries and multiple procedures done, and I am always amazed at the kindness of the nurses. Nurses rock!

So glad everything went well, Christi! That's wonderful. You were smart to get this done now and not have to worry about it.

I *ahem* don't think you should feel at all guilty for all the stuff for Abbey. Nope, not at all. *grin*

I'm glad your surgery went so well and that things are falling in to place for your trip to get your daughter! The whole thing is so exciting, I can't wait to read about everything with Abbey. :)

(I've been reading yours and Jenny's blogs for months just because your daughters will both share my name...and because I'm a soon-to-be elementary teacher!)
