Jonathan and Michelle

Twenty-seven days until I see my baby's face for the first time!

For your count-down pleasure I wanted to start including some photo's of fun things around Abbey's room and closet. This cute outfit from my shower in April is from Jonathan and Michelle. They have been such a support in this process! From their adorable daughter Aislinn they have passed on tons of cute clothes and toys. Jonathan and my friend Ted came and spent a day installing baby gates and cabinet and drawer locks to baby-proof my house. J & M lead the Preschool Praise at our church. They have been saving all the children's offerings this year for the orphanages in China.
These are socks the children (and friends at my showers) collected for me to take to the orphanage. Why socks?

I wanted everyone to be able to bring something and it needed to fit in my suitcase, or more likely in my brother's suitcase.

On one of the most difficult days of my life (which I will share more about someday) Michelle and Aisi brought me this little leopard. Michelle called and said that she wanted to come see me. I told her that I really wasn't up to talking with anyone but she said she was coming anyway. She really spoke words of faith and hope into a very dark situation. She believed the best for me when I couldn't seem too. I will always be so grateful.
The flowers are the arrangements my sister did for Abbey's shower. I love them and they will always remind me of that special day.

You have some wonderful friends, don't you? I love that they are helping you prepare your home for Abbey's arrival.

I really like the socks idea! I'll have to think about doing something along those lines.
