Only 24 days until I find out Abbey's Chinese name!
Now friends are asking if I know the exact day I will get my referral, and no, I do not. I am just counting down the days until the end of the month. My agency sent me an email that the referrals would probably come at the end of August or beginning of September. Of course I am watching the Rumor Queen and I've read that they may be coming sooner, which would be great for everyone.

After all the ups and downs we've had I am just sticking with my agency's predictions for now. I had a very intense few days (July 11-13) when I just knew I was being matched with my daughter. It's hard to explain but I felt like a dad that is pacing outside a delivery room, just knowing "it" was happening. I did a lot of praying.








So I would not be surprised whenever they come out. I think they matched more than they were able to send out last month due to the move. I think that I was matched, but not everyone who had my LID, and therefore they waited. They will not send part of a LID batch. So it's not factual, but it is my mommy instinct.

Here are a couple of crib shots. The little dollie is from April Cornell. I am sorry to say that I think their U.S. stores have closed but they still have them in Canada. The little lamb is from Amanda B. I am hoping she will find the courage to delurk and leave a comment soon. The big lamb is from Jeanne and it plays "Jesus Loves Me."
I got a great tip from SingleAdoptChina for first time moms. You put on the waterproof mattress cover and a sheet and then you layer another waterproof mattress pad and another sheet. That way when there is a leak (or worse) in the night you can just peel off the top layers and be good to go.
I am so excited about my new cameras, but I have to go right now and get my polio booster and perscriptions for China so I will post about them later.
