The Big Day!!

Our time at the Civil Affairs Office was pretty wild and crazy, cameras rolling and screaming babies everywhere. Abbey was the most upset of them all. She cried the whole time. Once we got on the bus she calmed down and enjoyed looking around and then fell asleep, having missed her usual nap and being on the bus for a good chunk of the day. I carried her up and let her sleep from 5 to 6:30 pm and then woke her up to go do paperwork. She did fine during the paperwork but it felt very fragile. We came back to the room and she seemed to be happier with me. She tried a few fruit puffs, her first time eating food, and drank 1/4 of a bottle formula and 1/4 a bottle of diluted juice. I just wanted to get anything in her I could. She let me change her diaper too. She came in a brand new pink outfit with rabbits and her name sewn onto it. She had very special brand new sparkly shoes. I thought it was very sweet that they dressed her up. We are off for our first night together and then an early morning trip to the notary to do a lot of paperwork! Thank you for all your love, prayers, and support.
